As anyone who knows me would expect, I’ll continue to be involved, whether it’s on the Monday night citywide ANC calls, on my local ANC, or volunteering as an umpire on Capitol Hill, where I live. I’m committed to fighting for the ideas, platforms, and policies we raised and will keep working and fighting for those to ensure that they get the attention they deserve at the Wilson Building.

DC’s small businesses are our city’s lifeblood — essential to the economy and to workers. Right now, they’re struggling more than ever. Our city should be doing everything it can to make it easier to get in business and stay in business.

It’s not easy being #21, but Chander’s feeling lucky. There are a lot of great things that are 21, and Chander knows them all!

Chander has been awarded the 2020 Gun Sense Candidate distinction from Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America for advocating for gun violence prevention and making a commitment to govern with gun safety in mind.

Our parents, students, and teachers in DC just faced the toughest first day of school ever. We need leaders who take care of our children. The future of DC is in their hands.

I hope the DC Council will act on a proposal before it that would give at-risk students a better shot at getting into a high performing school of their choice by adding an at-risk preference in the lottery system.
