The campaign is over, but I’m not done working for DC
THE PATH FORWARD
“I love our city and am running for Council to make sure our government is responsive to all of our residents. I believe in hard work, fair play, and standing up for what’s right. ”
Chander is a true independent who has fought to make District government responsive to all residents, not just those with connections at the Wilson Building. A 25-year resident of DC, a homeowner, Little League coach, small business owner, and ANC commissioner and two-time ANC chair, he is a fierce advocate for our diverse communities and for a balanced approach to policies that are sensible, actionable, and realistic.
A pragmatic leader and a problem-solver, he’s concerned that city agencies and leaders have lost sight of the core responsibilities of government, which are to ensure the safety of its citizens, provide education options for all students, and expand opportunities for economic independence.
