WHY I’M RUNNING
I am running to make sure that, as D.C. changes as a city and grows and becomes more diverse, people don’t get left behind. When you see a homeless person sleeping on the sidewalk, that person has been left behind. When a returning citizen can’t get a job, that person has been left behind. And when a student drops out of high school, or falls between the cracks of society, that child has been left behind. I believe that no one should be left behind, especially during a time of growth and prosperity in our city. We can do better as a city to make sure that every person has an opportunity to become a part of the whole and does not get left behind. I am running to do my part to make sure we do the best that we can do.
